TRANSPORTATION PLANNING BOARD

The Madison Area Transportation Planning Board is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Madison Urban Area. As the MPO, it is the policy body responsible for cooperative, comprehensive regional transportation planning and decision making for the Madison Metropolitan Planning Area.

Transportation Improvement Program

The Draft 2018-2022 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the Madison Metropolitan Area & Dane County is available for review and comment.  Comments are due by Friday, September 22.  A public hearing will be held to provide an opportunity to provide comments in person to the board.

PUBLIC MEETING AND COMMENT ON REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING IN THE MADISON METROPOLITAN AREA

Under Federal law, the Madison Area Transportation Planning Board serves as the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Madison urban area.  The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) is conducting a planning certification review of the regional transportation planning process conducted in the Madison area.


Public comments are invited and may be submitted in writing or in person at a public meeting to be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 5:00 p.m., Madison Water Utility, 119 E. Olin Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin - Conference Room A-B.  Written comments may be submitted no later than Friday, August 18, 2017.
